SUMMARY:NYSRPS Gather & Grow: Recreation Recharged - Virtual Meet Up
DESCRIPTION:At the NYSRPS Conference\, we started an honest conversation\; one that truly resonated. The room was full\, the discussion was real\, and one message was clear: many Parks and Recreation professionals are carrying the weight of burnout\, pressure\, and rising expectations\, and they need space to talk about it. We entered this field because we believe in the mission\, the community impact\, and the moments of joy. Yet behind every program and smiling photo is a professional navigating compassion fatigue\, public and political pressures\, limited resources\, and the constant demand to do more with less. This quarterly meet-up it is an honest conversation grounded in shared experience and understanding. Together we will:\nShare real experiences from the field\nNormalize the challenges we don't often talk about\nValidate experiences that often go unspoken\nShare tools\, perspective\, and encouragement to help protect our passion\, purpose\, and well-being\nYou don't have to be burned out to attend. You just need to care about this profession and the people who make it run.\n*Once registration is complete\, please be sure to check your email for the Zoom meeting link and confirmation of event registration.
