Course Information:

The Reunited in Recreation Conference is a one-day professional development experience designed to reconnect, reenergize, and strengthen the parks, recreation, and therapeutic recreation community. This conference is designed to foster learning, conversation, and connection—bringing together practitioners and students from diverse backgrounds to grow together and move the profession forward. Participants will gain fresh insights, meaningful connections, and earn CEUs for both Community and Therapeutic Recreation professionals.

Who is the Reunited in Recreation Conference for?

This conference is for parks, recreation, and therapeutic recreation professionals, students, and partners who are eager to learn, collaborate, and reconnect with peers across New York State and beyond. Whether you are new to the field or a seasoned professional, this event offers valuable takeaways for every stage of your career. 

Our Reunited in Recreation committee is comprised of college and university professors within the parks and recreation field, bringing academic expertise and real-world insight to the conference experience. Guided by the theme Career-Connected Learning: Preparing Students for Careers and Workforce Development Beyond the University, the committee focuses on bridging the gap between education and practice.

Attendees will participate in educational sessions led by industry leaders, gaining valuable insights into emerging trends and effective strategies for enhancing the quality of recreational services. Through the exchange of knowledge, attendees are equipped with the tools and inspiration needed to address the evolving challenges and opportunities.
